2. No Laws without a Lawgiver. Even
a child from grade-school would probably be able to tell us that there are no
laws without lawgivers and that the Universe is governed by Universal Laws thanks
to the creativity, innovation and initiative of a powerful Lawgiver … the YHWH
(Jehovah) of Moses & Mt. Sinai as exemplified in the life &
ministry of Jesus of Nazareth, the
Christ (‘the Anointed One’) and as affirmed by the ultimate source
of moral authority in the world today, i.e. the Bible (Old & New Testaments). Some notes:
► Jesus Christ was/is the Projects
Engineer tasked with the creation, maintenance and management of the
Cosmos. [Hebrews1:1-14]. He is the ultimate artist and impressionist ... everything He does impresses us.
► God the Father has conferred all
power in heaven and earth on His Son Jesus Christ. [Matthew28:18-20].
► Jesus Christ must have been
fully conversant with scientific phenomena such as (among others) universal gravitation, the strong &
weak nuclear forces, the Electromagnetic Spectrum, the Periodic Table
of the Elements, Acoustics, Quantum Physics, Biochemistry and the
mysteries of His Heavenly Home, yet has He lamented the fact that He could
not tell His ignorant and unsophisticated first-century audiences about the
‘Heavenly Things’. [John3:12].
► During His ministry on earth Jesus Christ demonstrated His power over the elements and forces of nature. [Mark4:41].
► The Bible is replete with
examples attesting to the fact that God has created the Universe, that He has
created the Cosmos through Jesus Christ His Son and that the Universe and its
basic laws are maintained and managed by Jesus Christ [Genesis1:1; 2:4;
Isaiah40:25-26; 42:5; 45:8, 12, 18; Romans1:20; Ephesians2:10; 3:19; Colossians1:16; John3:3;
Hebrews1:1-4; Revelation10:6].
3. Cometh the End. The day will come when Jesus Christ, the temporary
custodian of the Kingdom of God, will deliver the Kingdom back into the
custody of His Heavenly Father:
“For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.” [1Corinthians15:22, 24-26].
